Asthma

We offer regular asthma reviews for patients of all ages to help ensure your condition is well controlled.

These appointments are usually carried out by our Practice Nurse and include checking your symptoms, reviewing your medications, and making sure your inhaler technique is correct.

You will usually be invited for a review once a year, with recalls taking place between April and February. Good asthma control is important — it helps reduce the risk of flare-ups and asthma attacks, and keeps you well in day-to-day life.

If you have any queries about your asthma review, please contact Jackie on 0161 983 0876, Tuesday to Thursday, 8am–6pm. If she is unavailable, please leave a message and she will return your call.

If your symptoms change or you feel your asthma is not well controlled, please contact the practice rather than waiting for your routine review.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

We offer regular reviews for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) to help manage your condition and keep you as well as possible.

These appointments are usually carried out by our Practice Nurse and include reviewing your symptoms, checking your inhaler technique, and ensuring your medications are appropriate. You may also be asked about your breathing, activity levels, and any recent flare-ups.

COPD is a long-term lung condition that can cause breathlessness and cough. Regular reviews are important — good management can help reduce symptoms, prevent exacerbations, and improve quality of life.

You will usually be invited for a review once a year, with recalls taking place between April and February.

If you have any queries about your COPD review, please contact Jackie on 0161 983 0876, Tuesday to Thursday, 8am–6pm. If she is unavailable, please leave a message and she will return your call.

If your symptoms worsen or you experience increased breathlessness, please contact the practice rather than waiting for your routine review.
